Share your stories

Building a true picture of what criminalization of HIV transmission and exposure means to people and communities around the world is a crucial part of the campaign to bring an end to these practices. To develop strong and effective arguements against criminalization, it is essential that people share the stories of how it has affected their lives.

This could mean sharing a story of how you have been subjected to a prosecution or investigation, it could mean explaining how the possibility of criminalization impacts on your life and how you access services, or it could be how about how the media portrayal of these cases has affected you or someone close to you.

Whether you are living with HIV or simply just care about the issue, you can make a contribution by sharing your story.

You don't have to use your real name, but please provide a real email address so that we can contact you for permission to use your story. For more details please read the Privacy Policy.

To help you document and share your stories and reflections we have designed a set of questions to help people who have had direct experience of the criminalization of HIV transmission or exposure. Download our guide to Telling Your Story.
